Evelyn is convinced of yoga’s power to change lives. That is why she shares her passion for teaching, adapting her classes based on the needs of her students with special attention to breathing and alignment focusing on the mind-body connection, so more people can benefit from this wonderful discipline.
She is currently in Chicago teaching bilingual classes, yoga for cancer and assisting the Mysore Program at Mysore Chicago Yoga. She continues to deepen her knowledge of yoga through her dedicated daily practice under the guidance of Todd Boman. She has collaborated with Univision, Alas Wings (Latina Association for Breast Cancer), Northwestern University and Live Sankalpa.
Evelyn began practicing yoga in 2006 looking for a complement to her training as a marathon runner. After a few years of practice she realized that yoga wasn’t only physical. To deepen her knowledge in yoga, she left her corporate job in imports in 2012 and moved to Chicago to take the yoga teacher training at Moksha Yoga Center. In 2013 she studied in Mexico at Yoga Yoghismo Association and taught yoga in Spanish. She is certified by Yoga4Cancer.
