In college, Kate went to exactly 3 yoga classes in an effort to start working out in a way that wasn’t cardio based. After moving to Chicago several years later, she began practicing regularly as a way to combat the stress and over-stimulation that naturally comes with living in a city. Overtime, it developed into an embodiment of physical, mental and spiritual well-being both on and off the mat. A trained actor and vocalist, yoga is a constant reminder to Kate of the importance of meeting yourself where you’re at and, most importantly, a practice; like life, yoga isn’t a one-time performance!
Trained in the Tantric Yoga tradition at Tejas Yoga, with Kate you can expect a warm, open, and enthusiastic environment with an emphasis on breath, alignment, and strength. She believes that yoga is truly for every body and that there is room for growth and expansion in every being.
